Helenb70, Twyford, United Kingdom - “Great location, lovely building, bathroom very 1980's, but everything else very good”, traveled as a couple

"* Location: The hotel location is very good, about 10 minutes walk from the nearest metro station and located close to several tourist sites including Nyhavn and the Royal Palace.
* Staff: During our stay the staff were uniformly good, from reception to bar staff. The bar was relatively good value, at least for a hotel bar in Denmark. The cocktails and wine were both good.
* Room: The room was on the small side, but with interesting historical features and a very comfortable bed. However, the historical features unfortunately included the bathroom, where it felt like we were in 1985. This is in need of refurbishment, being brown and cramped, and in fact is my only criticism of the hotel.
* Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and tasty. We didn't try the hotel restaurant, but we did enjoy the food at Mash and Cap Horn.
* Top tip for Copenhagen: The museums are all closed on Monday, so you may want to plan around this (we didn't!)".

OnlyTheBest-Lux, Luxembourg - “Good location”, traveled as a couple

"Admiral is an ok hotel in Copenhagen with a good location. Staff is ok, but you will not remember them as being overly service minded. Rooms are good and have charm. Breakfast is fine, but expensive. There is parking outside, but with limited availability and you cannot reserve a space."

Dragomir D, London, United Kingdom - “''signature''hotel”, traveled with friends

"So happy, that  I visited this hotel. Great location, specially if you are planning a boat trip. Beautiful harbour view with the Copenhagen opera. This building looks like historical castle, but modern and nice environment inside. The staff was friendly and treat us well (reception and bartender from the lobby bar) The lobby bar is amazing place with lots of sport channels you can watch on massive screen, always busy, but the service was fast. Nice and comfortable bed, outside the room was ice machine.(the only issue was the hot water I can say wasn't enough hot). Great value, great hotel for sure that's the best hotel in Copenhagen."

larkou, Larissa - “Luxury by the sea”, travelled on business

"The hotel was in an excellent place near the sea and at the edge of the old town of Copenhagen. Rooms were very nice and comfy. Design and style was also very distinctive all round the hotel. Breakfast was great and it totally worth it."

Chris K, Wilmslow, United Kingdom - “Top weekend break”, traveled with family

"Went as a family (a 12 year old child) to Copenhagen in late October. Had never been before and relied on what I could find on the internet to help guide me. Eventually found this hotel and spoke to them before booking. The staff were great and really helpful. Advised that the hotel is just a short walk through Nyhavn to the main shops and the city centre. For those who don't know the city, Nyhavn is the area that has the cool bars and restaurants overlooking the harbour. Hotel turned out to be brilliant. Really excellent quality and we had a mezzanine room, so our son had his own space - ideal. By the way - I thought Copenhagen was nowhere near as expensive as pre-conceptions led me to think. Great place for a Scandinavian short break."

John G, London, United Kingdom - “Be diligent when Checking Out!”, traveled as a couple

"Reasonable hotel. Good breakfast and restaurant service. However, be careful when checking out particularly if you have presented a pre-paid hotel voucher on arrival. We paid twice as our credit card had been debited for the room despite the voucher. However, this was mistake thankfully picked up before we left the hotel. We also had to remind them that we had been put to unnecessary charges due to the conversion rate on the card (3%). They did refund another 3% on our card to rectify their mistake. It was very cold outside and when we asked for a complimentary tea and coffee while we were trying to resolve this issue. We did get our beverages nevertheless! Just be careful!!"

Bontzo, Stuttgart, Germany - “Not exactly 4 star standard ”, traveled on business

"I stayed one night here and it was for the third time already over the years. Rooms are spacious, but furniture is old fashioned. Housekeeping does a good job. I had the breakfast every time I was here and I was a little amazed that although the hotel gets bad reviews for the selection and quality of the buffet for years they have not done anything. The breakfast is seen from the selection as well as the quality a 3 star standard and definitely needs some improvement. 4 star standard for breakfast includes live cooking for Omelette, Cappuccino or espresso making facilities and definitely no convenience scramble eggs like here".

jokke82, Oslo, Norway - “One of the best!”, traveled on business

"You know what discreet luxury is? It's the kind you'll get here. Staff are nice, not pushy... Rooms are spacious with all the stuff you need. No maids knocking on your door early mornings just because you forgot the sign on the door, but later the room is mysteriously mended. Really love this hotel... One drawback is the breakfast, but who cares about hotel breakfast in downtown Copenhagen?"

adc-1897, Fareham, United Kingdom - “Good location for train station & Tivoli Gardens”, traveled as a couple

"Good location. 5 minute walk from central train station and Tivoli Gardens. Standard room was quite small, but enough room for a couple. Bed was comfy enough and room was clean. Corridors don't look very appeasing, but once inside the room it is fine. Some noise during early evening from road outside, but this didn't effect us too much (we were on 4th floor). Reception staff helpful. Breakfast was excellent, with a hot selection, cold meats, cheese and pastries. This is not a romantic hotel, but is decent enough for those travelling on a mid range budget and not expecting anything too nice. Would stay again".

Telmcdev, London, United Kingdom - “Hotel”, traveled with family

"Excellent hotel and a perfect location for the sights and Christmas markets. The staff were so helpful and spoke perfect English. We asked for information and they were happy to help and give us directions to where we wanted to go. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a trip to Copenhagen.

Room Tip: We had 3 rooms and they were all fine."
