It is not easy to travel with children, but you would like to show the world to him or her so much! If you have a feeling that you have already seen everything possible in Copenhagen, and you still have some energy to perceive and learn something new, I offer you to arrange a family guided tour across the Denmark based on the following routes:
1. A trip to Legoland and the waterpark Lalandia. In Legoland everything is made of Lego building blocks – models of the world-known buildings, fairy heroes and even animals and birds – namely, over 40 million blocks. Nearby there is the largest indoor waterpark in Denmark - Lalandia, which is also advised to be visited, as you have already come here. Read more about the trip to Legoland and Lalandia here.
2. A trip to the shipbuilding museum and the village of Vikings in Roskilde (Vikingeskibsmuseet Roskilde). In the village of Vikings local enthusiasts show their tribute to history, creating replicas of Viking ships. The Vikings museum displays various items of their uneven lives: swords, helmets, armours, axes, teeth of sea creatures, skates made of wild animal bones, as well as dishware of the time. The family of Jensens in a small town of Rodelund, 60 km to the north of Legoland park built an incredible maze. Or, to be more specific, a number of mazes. Over the past 13 years the Jensens have been building mazes, where they invite all those loving active outdoor leisure.
The Land of Mazes consists of 3 large open air puzzles and a number of smaller ones. The biggest maze, made of the wooden fence, takes up the area of 1 300 m2 and requires at least one hour of your attention. If you manage to collect 6 hidden fragments on the territory of the maze, you can exchange them for a diploma in the ticket office. This document confirms your unique orientation skills. In addition, in the park you will find a water maze and one sided maze Troy, made of relatively small stones, as well as some smaller mazes for games with small children.
The Land of Mazes is a unique place for families with small children, as here you can merrily run, and where you are safe from crowds and you will not have to queue, where you can find entertainment for children of any age, and where you will have to work not only physically but also mentally, and getting tired have a nice picnic in the country.
