EK-Dolan, London - “Good location and good value”, traveled with friends

"Rooms and bathrooms are clean and sizeable. Hostel itself is huge, but well run. Didn't pay extra for breakfast, but paid for the linen which was exactly what you need. A luggage room is provided for 20kr a day, and the wi-fi was excellent. Great value for Copenhagen, which is an expensive city and within walking distance of main tourist attractions".

flavia_kanashiro, Santo Andre, SP - "Good location", traveled with friends

"The hostel has a very good location, near to the Trivoli Park, to the central station and to the old town. The hostel seemed to be very clean. The view of the my window was really beautiful. The staff was kind and helpful. The wifi was good. The rooms have a separated space for lockers, bathroom and coats, which was helpful because you don't bother who was inside the room. The towels and bed linen are charged. The storage of the luggage are also charged."

Begonia P, Vicenza, Italy - “Very well located, wonderful view, great staff!”, travelled with family

"I loved most of all the fact that this hotel is very well located. This made our city tours on foot very comfy. Moreover, I loved the stunning view from my room, the cleanliness and the professional staff. The bathroom was quite uncomfortable because every time I took a shower all the bathroom became wet and untidy and the wi-fi didn't work very well. Despite this, anything else was fine and smooth during my stay.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view, you won't regret!"

SimieMom, NYC - “Great location and wonderful staff”, travelled alone

"You can't beat the location of this "self service" hotel. The staff was also very helpful in recommending the non-touristy spots to eat and how to get around. Be aware, you need to rent your linens and make your own beds. The beds themselves are much like massage or chiropractor tables and the pillows felt like a bag of ping pong balls. That aside, the bar in the lobby is a nice place to get a drink at night or coffee in the morning. Best part of this hotel is the location. Within easy walking distance to Central Station and Tivoli. I would stay here again, but would bring my own pillow."

Salamanca84 - “unsatisfied”, travelled with friends

"We spend just 2 nights in this hostel. The location is good, and the most beautiful thing I think was the elevator. The hostel is very expensive: 52 euro per night per person without breakfast, without sheets, you have to rent them, and you have to rent the hairdryer if you need it, the room was small with a small bathroom, the adapter for the phone also was to rent, and if you need to leave your luggages you have to pay, and the wifi didn't work properly at 2nd floor. I think that an youth hostel should be cheaper just because of the name. If I would spend all this money I go to an hotel."

There are may reasons for that: the size of the hostel - 175 rooms and 650 beds, excellent location, as the hostel is located in walking distance from the subway station Kongens Nytorv, about 750 meters to the popular waterfront Nyhavn, the pedestrian street Strøget and many others popular sights of the city.

Georgina P - “Best value for money and suitable for anyone”, travelled with friends

"I stayed in the generator hostel Copenhagen with my 50years old mother. The atmosphere around the bar and chill out areas was fantastic, she and I felt comfortable. We stayed in one of the private rooms and except for a bit of noise it was more than adequate. The Generator Hostel provide more services than any hostel I have ever..."

Laura F, Madrid, Spain - “No common space to take your own food and drink”, traveller with the firends

"There was no common space to take your own food and drink, and no microwave. On friday the security guy asked us to get out the hostel because we were not buying drinks from the bar. The room was perfect, but the reception workers were not as friendly as a reception worker must be in a hostel."

Katie R, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom - “Great hostel!”, traveled as a couple

"Great hostel, very big. Rooms are small but clean and beds are comfy. Stayed in a private double room which was perfect for what we were after and was a very reasonable price. Bar downstairs is great, and happy hour is brilliant for a cheap beer. Had live music Wednesday evening which was nice to sit and chill and listen to! Overall a great stay :)"

Ole_Maskin, Horten, Norway - “Recommended!”, travelled with friends

"I chose the Generator hostel because I could not use my air plane mileage points on a different hotels when we are so close to Christmas holidays. I don't regret this, since this is a much better option than most hotels. The staff is very pleasant and helpful, the bar and lounge is better than most bars that I've been able to find on my own and everything is clean and in working order. I brought my friends to lounge in the bar at Generator, and they said that this is at least 3 times better than they ever expected from a hostel. I can agree with this, a very good place to stay if you're going to Copenhagen."

"Good place to stay when travelling in Copenaghen. Large modern style bar and saloon, with several games and facilities for the guests. Rooms quite clean and very well furnished. Just a littel bit small. Ok! Enjoy it!"
